27 & 28 MAY
A mesmerising multimedia theatre show that offers a window to the soul of Russia’s turbulent past. After 60 sold out shows in the Netherlands Zhivago Theater is coming to Brighton.
Zhivago, unique picture material, and live Russian music performed by award-winning musicians Irena Filippova and Hans Visser. The show tells the story of Russia from 1900 to 1960. A time where Russia had two faces: Pasternak and Stalin. Both are a benchmark of that specific period. One is humane, the other cruel. One is spiritual and sensible and the other is suspicious and jealous. Two opposites, two extremes; as contradictory as the time they lived in.
